UNISbreakfast and bioCEED seminars for fellow students

The last couple of weeks the Student Representatives at UNIS have been busy with arranging two interesting UNIS events for their fellow students. The first one, a UNISbreakfast run the 2nd of March, was special since it was arranged as a collaborative effort between iEarth and bioCEED student representatives. During this UNISbreakfast we were happy to have two interesting presentations held by Daniel Kramer and Sil Schuuring. Daniel Kramer talked about the blurred line between software and reality and presented new science tools. Sil Schuuring told us about the interactions between plants and permafrost melt, an important topic in the time of climate change. The second arrangement was a bioCEED seminar held the 14th of March for the biology bachelor student group. In this seminar, Lucas Matias Jeno from bioCEED talked about learning strategies, with plenty of hands-on examples that the students could apply when studying. These presentations were well received by the students, who were engaged and asked many questions. Big thanks from bioCEED goes out to all the people who made these arrangements possible.
