The first day was dedicated to the main topic of the retreat: supervision. Robert Kordts (UPED, UiB) introduced the topic and led a workshop. Anders Goksøyr (BIO) led the discussion on ethics and supervision based on the manual from the National Research Ethics Committees. The day ended with Lightning Talks, in which we learned more about ongoing projects on teaching and learning at the department.

The second day of the retreat was dedicated to retrospective reflections on the impact of bioCEED, and a discussion on sustainability of projects and resources developed by bioCEED when the funding period is over. We voted on projects teachers want to see continue and the priorities include the Annual Teachers Retreat, the student-led project biOrakel, discussion fora such as the 100-club, the pedagogical course Collegial Teaching and Learning in STEM Education, and the Student Poster Session. The following discussions included reflections on how sustainability for these types of projects can be obtained within the department.

We used post-it notes to rank our priorities for bioCEED activities that should continue, if at all possible.
