Bikuben Volume 2 is out!
Bikuben's editorial board is extremely proud and happy to introduce the second edition of Bikuben Student Journal.
This 74-page edition features the 6 student peer-reviewed articles listed further below, which were published online during the academic year 2022/23. The topics range widely, from ecology to fisheries and marine biology, cancer research and genetics, and more. All articles are available at bikuben.org, along with all the articles from last year.
Bikuben Vol. 2 also features a fantastic collection of photographs submitted by BIO students and staff to our photo contest. The cover is very special as it reveals a potential new species of Ptychogastria that was collected on board OceanX cruise earlier this year (read more here and there). This photo was taken by postdoctoral researcher Joan J. Soto Angel, who wins the contest and gets a gift card of 500kr.
You will find the printed edition at the Mathematics and Natural Sciences Library and other dedicated places at BIO, UiB. You may also click here to download Bikuben Vol. 2 as a PDF file.
We hope that you will enjoy reading Bikuben Vol. 2, and perhaps find inspiration in the articles to write your own paper, essay, review, report, etc.
The editorial board,
Silje Maria M. Høydal, Hanif Kawousi and Gina Koulibaly Barry
