In September, the new student learning space was officially opened at UNIS at Elvesletta, which is a brand-new area for students to use when studying outside classroom time. The 216 m2 area has a combined working capacity of 100 people. Here students can work together around their research projects, or alone, and is an important and necessary contribution to improving the student’s learning environment.

The process was started up back in 2020 and has been led by Steve Coulson and Tina Dahl from the Arctic Biology Department and bioCEED in collaboration with iEarth, Ivar Nordmo from UiB and architects from ATPA and together with student representatives from the Student Council.
