First volume of Bikuben out soon

The past year, we have established a peer reviewed journal for showcasing scientific work done by students at BIO. Bikuben Student Journal has steadily grown during this time and has gotten many interesting submissions. To date we have published seven of these on our website, https://bikuben.org.

We are now almost finished with the first volume of Bikuben, where these seven articles will be featured along with a beautiful set of biology related photos and illustrations submitted by students.

Our plan is to print a paper edition of this volume which will be available at BIO at the start of the fall semester. We are very excited and proud of the first volume and we hope that Bikuben will continue to grow as the current editorial board will be replaced by new “bioBEES” (student partners at bioCEED) next semester.

Bikuben Student Journal is part of the DIKU Aktiv-funded project “Student active research and transferable skills in redesign of the biology education” led by professor and bioCEED centre leader Sehoya Cotner.

The editorial board,
Jørund Johansen, Lars Martin Myhre and Tonje Olsen Totland
